Ranil celebrates 67th birthday

Prime Minister and the leader of the ruling United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe celebrated his 67th birthday on Friday. His wife, Prof. Maithree Wickremesinghe, President Maithripala Sirisena, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, Deputy UNP Leader Sajith Premadasa and several other ministers and parliamentarians extended birthday wishes to the Prime Minister at a ceremony at Temple Trees.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending greetings to his Sri Lankan counterpart wished him a healthy and long life. "Wishing my friend, a leader with great knowledge and wisdom. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life,' PM Modi said in a tweet.
