The International Institute of Business Management (IIBM) is a pioneer in
providing Six Sigma training to enrich the skills of people in managerial
positions of companies across the country. Though still widely unknown in Sri
Lanka, it has the potential to improve productivity of businesses to the next
level and benefit the economy immensely, a press release from the Institute
said. A member of the panel of lecturers, Dr. Prabath Peiris said, “Six-Sigma is
a world-class problem-solving method used by organisations globally to enhance
customer satisfaction, make transformational change and trigger quantum leaps in
operational performance through process improvements by deploying a handful of
proven tools.” The training sessions follow a sequential order; White Belt,
Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt and Deployment Champion
training which reflect the expertise level of Six Sigma personnel.
The IIBM Campus has partnered with the Cambridge Association of Entrepreneurs
(UK) to train academics and corporate sector personnel. The Six Sigma program
provides a British certification. The training is conducted by international
award winning people with industry experience on diverse areas of operations to
provide a holistic view of Six Sigma.
The IIBM Campus in Thalawathugoda, provides Six Sigma consultations and in-house
training to meet specific needs of organisations, the press release said. |
