UTE training centre receives award
United Tractor & Equipment (Pvt) Ltd's (UTE) Training Centre has
received many accolades from a host of visitors recently including key
figures in the business world, professionals, customers from the private
and public sectors, Caterpillar representatives, personnel from other
dealerships and even competitors.

The Training Centre received the Service Training Excellence
Accreditation Award (STEAA) from Caterpillar after stringent assessments
to effectively deliver high-value training consistent with Caterpillar
global standards.
The award was presented to Training Manager, UTE, Nihal Jayamaha by
former District Manager, Caterpillar, Kevin Strydom. Regional Manager,
Caterpillar, Thomas Teo and District Manager, Caterpillar, Bangalore,
E.C. Manohar. UTE built the facility in 2013, with an investment of Rs.
200 million to overcome the dearth of qualified technicians in the
construction sector.
The UTE training centre conducts quality technical training programs
which is also accredited by the Tertiary and Vocational Education
Commission of Sri Lanka which offers NVQ Level 4 qualification in
Construction Machinery Technical Training. Regional Manager,
Caterpillar, Thomas Teo said, "It's an excellent facility that is world
class." District Manager, Caterpillar, Bangalore, E.C. Manohar said it
was "A well-maintained training facility."
Members of the Kenyan National Construction Association who visited
the facility and workshop said it was one of the best they have seen
to-date.
UTE is the sole authorised dealer for Caterpillar power generators
and lift trucks in Sri Lanka in addition to the Caterpillar construction
and earth-moving products. |
