CCC-PUCSL seminar on 'electricity crisis'
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Public Utilities
Commission of Sri Lanka will hold a seminar to discuss the current
electricity crisis in Sri Lanka tomorrow, April 25 at the Chamber
auditorium at 2 p.m.
The discussion will cover the current electricity crisis in Sri
Lanka, the historical perspectives, lessons learnt and the way forward
to set up a stable electricity supply system.
It will be moderated by Past President, Tourist Hotels Association of
Sri Lanka, Srilal Miththapala.
Topics such as, 'Sri Lanka's Power Generation - Past, present and
future,' 'How stakeholders should work together to ensure crisis free
electricity supply in Sri Lanka,' and 'Renewable Energy, a solution?
Lesser knows issues', will come under discussion.
CEO, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Dhara Wijayatilake, CEO, PUCSL,
Damitha Kumarasinghe, Chairman, PUCSL, Consultative Committee, Dr.
Jayantha Ranatunga, Chairman, CEB, Anura Wijayapala and Energy
Consultant Dr. Thilak Siyambalapitiya will be the resource people. |
