Hope, wish, fantasy....

Call it what you may, everyone dreams of being someone or doing something different when they grow up. Some dream of being astronauts, rocket scientists, space explorers... Some dream of being clowns, comedians and running away to a circus. Still others wish to be lawyers, doctors, cricketers or superstars.

The sky, as they say, is the limit to your dreams... But what's the fun if you keep it all to yourself? My aim is to be a doctor

My name is Karamaththullah Mohammed Ahlak. I study in Grade One at B/ Welimada Muslim Maha Vidyalaya. My ambition is to be a doctor. A doctor helps to save the lives of patients. I will perform my duties properly. I will help the poor by providing free medicine. I hope my dream comes true.

My goal is to be a doctor

My name is Supulma Geemanthi Bandaranayake. I am studying at Matale International School. I am in Grade four. My dream is to be a doctor some day. I study hard at school and at home. I wish to help the poor people in rural areas and cure them. I will also help my mother when she falls ill. I hope my dream comes true.

An aeronautical engineer - my aim

My name is Rakith Dissanayake. I am studying in Matale International School. I am nine years old. My favourite subject is Mathematics. I am studying in Grade Four. My ambition is to be an aeronautical engineer. I will travel with my parents to other countries. I hope my dream will be a reality.

My name is Sanduni Damsara. I study in grade nine at Swarnamali Girls' College, Kandy. I yearn to be a doctor one day. I like to help poor people in Sri Lanka. A doctor is a very useful and important person. I hope to do a great service to my country too. I will study hard to achieve my ambition. I long to bring honour to my country.
