The official ceremony to declare July 1
to 10 as National Scout Services and Relations Week – 2016
was held on Friday (July 8), under the patronage of
President Maithripala Sirisena.
The National Scout Services and Relations Week was
introduced as an annual program to enhance the self
confidence of scouts and pride about labour. This national
week helps earn funds for training camps community service
projects and other programs carried out by scouts. The Sri
Lanka Scout Association presented a souvenir to the
President on this occasion. A group of the members of the
Scout Association, including Deputy Scout Commissioner
Shiras Sali were among those who participated at the event. |
