Timeless memories with Corrine

Unrehearsed performance

Corrine Almeida is a living legend in her own right. The music industry in Sri Lanka has only a few women legends to go down as names in the books for posterity. Her inherent talents as a singer, has brought Corrine ever-increasing fruitful results. She is one vocalist we know who can sing any song - be it pop, rock, soul, r&b and jazz with ease. Language wise she is well versed in Sinhala, Hindi, Italian, Spanish - language as is no stumbling block for her. Over the years she has proved that the centre stage is hers and so far no one has eclipsed her. Her mellifluous voice has taken her abroad for countless tours and stage performances. So quite naturally she was the ideal choice to steer the celebrations on Fathers’ Day at the Kingsbury, where the Sing-a-long and the spectacular Brunch turned out to be a brilliant interactive afternoon.

The Balmoral was transformed to a grand setting event. The guests were a crowd of fun and joy, there was so much excitement, that it was such a blast singing along with Corrine. The event also saw some surprise talented performances from the guests that were amazing. Kudos to Corrine’s band who played for the performing guests with no problems at all. The guests enthusiasm was infections and to borrow a phrase ‘like Grease rocks,’ the Balmoral rocked that afternoon!

Guests in a happy mood
