Top notch speakers at Economic Summit
Leaders of global firms, such as Google, McKinsy and Company, AirBnB,
Dertour, Shangri-La Hotels and Pemandu Malaysia and high profile public
officials of foreign countries are lined up to share their expertise at
the upcoming Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2016.
Among the speakers will be the CEO of Pemandu, Malaysia, Dato Sri
Idris Jala, Member, Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi,
Gajendra Haldea, Associate Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of
Public Policy, Prof Razeen Sally, Executive Vice President of Shangri-La
Hotels, Michael Cottan, Managing Director of Google India, Rajan Anandan,
Director, Public Policy Affairs of Asia of AirBnB, Mike Orgill, Vice
President of Intercontinental Travel of DER Touristik, Germany, Jorn
Krausser, Director Tourism, Australia, Andrew Fairley, Managing Director
of Duxton Asset Management, Desmond Sheehy, Expert Partner of McKinsy
and Company, Steve Saxon and Deputy Secretary-General Ministry of Human
Resources Malaysia, Dr Mohd Gazali Abas.
Some of them will deliver keynote speeches at different sessions,
while the rest will join the expert panelists, who will engage in
discussions, across the two days of the summit, which attracts the cream
of the countries corporate sector as participants.
President Maithripala Sirisena will be the chief guest at the summit,
which will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel
and is organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Hayleys PLC and Pyramid Wilmar are the platinum sponsors of the Sri
Lanka Economic Summit, while Sunshine Holdings and CIC are the gold
sponsors. Dialog has signed in as the silver sponsor and First Capital,
the strategic sponsor.
Over 350 CEOs to attend
Over 350 CEOs and senior executives representing the Sri Lankan
corporate sector have so far registered to take part in the Sri Lanka
Economic Summit 2016. Among the registered include CEOs, Managing
Directors and Chairmen of blue chip firms, and also those heading small
to medium scale organizations in the country. This year's event will
feature 50 foreign and local resource people and they will speak across
the seven sessions of the summit, which will be conducted on the theme
'Focus. Act. Deliver'.
Some of Sri Lanka's top tier corporate firms have put their weight
behind the Summit, which will be held for the 17th consecutive year.
