Enhanced cataract surgery facility

The Golden Key Eye & ENT Hospital has enhanced its cataract surgery capabilities with the purchase of Alcon's CENTURION Vision System, an advanced phacoemulsification (phaco) technology platform.

Designed to optimise every moment of the cataract surgical procedure to improve patient outcomes, the new system combines multiple technologies to set new standards in the performance of cataract surgery, the Hospital said.

According to manufacturer Alcon, the new CENTURION Vision System represents the latest phaco platform and is the only intelligent phaco technology that automatically and continuously adapts to changing conditions within the eye, providing greater anterior chamber stability during each step of the surgery. It also places optimised energy technology at the surgeon's fingertips through enhanced fluidic management and surgical precision.
