New class unit for Kanthale school

With the motive of creating a better study environment for children, Fashion Bug, one of Sri Lanka's leading retail clothing chains with over 16 outlets island-wide, recently took the initiative to construct a separate class unit for Kanthale-based Al-Tharique Junior School.

As part of the company's continuous CSR activities, the project was completed and handed over to the principal of the school A.P.A Jawahir and representing on behalf of Fashion Bug were S M Faham- Assistant Marketing Manager and RiyasShahabdeen- Senior Manager and OshadaEragoda- Marketing Executive.

Providing the right environment to study is of vital to any school. Unfortunately many of them in the rural parts of the country have been neglected for a long time. This type of initiative sets an example of how private organizations and institutions can help contribute effectively even in smaller ways. It does mean the world to children and we feel obliged to be responsible socially,' said Shabier Subian, Director- Fashion Bug. 'We look forward to carry out similar initiatives in the future.

Fashion Bug spends over Rs. 20 million annually on various CSR projects that are carried out island-wide, ranging from sports and education through to public services and beyond.
