Launch of 'Vow Cabs'

'Vow Cabs' was launched on 16th August by Smart Travel International with Innate Private Limited, to serve all local commuters, tourists, diplomats etc. by filling the ever increasing demand for modern taxi services with quality and standardized operations using its well selected fleet of vehicles and trained manpower.

"Launching of VOW Cabs will mark a revolutionary mile stone in the transportation industry of Sri Lanka", said the Group captain Laksiri Gunawardena (Retd), Chief Operations Officer of Smart Travel International (Pvt) Ltd during his opening remarks.

He further said, "Vow Cabs" is a one stop solution to all your travel needs. You can use the same application to book both inter and intra city travel.

It is easy to use and is one of the most accurate solutions. Now you don't have to worry about wrong fares.

Unlike other service providers, Vow Cabs provide House hold address information to the drivers to home-on accurately using Global Positioning System (GPS). VOWCABS only use Pulser taxi meters on all their VOW CABS.

PULSER taxi meter is an American product manufactured in India. It is the only taxi meter in Sri Lanka to incorporate GPS technology and has ISO certification.

Smart Travel International work closely with Sony FeliCa division to enable NFC technology in PULSER taxi meters. This will enable Sri Lankans to obtain cashless travel experience in the future.

Smart Travel International has entered in to a partnership with Sampath Bank, Dialog and Mobitel to provide cashless travel experience and integrated their payment platform with eZ-Cash and M-Cash payment options and Sampath bank enables their platform to accept any credit cards issued by any bank converted to VOW credits.
