St. Nicholas' International College - Silver Jubilee Walk 2016
St. Nicholas' International College, Pelawatte marked its Silver
Jubilee with a 'Jubilee Walk' on September 10, starting from the College
premises to Paalam Thuna Junction and returned to the college. A mini
carnival was also held at the premises. The Walk was organised by the
staff and students under the direction of Rev. Fr. Sanjeewa Mendis,
Director of St. Nicholas' International College, Pelawatte.
The College, Pelawatte ranked top amongst the elite international
schools in Sri Lanka is a co-educational day school open to students of
all nationalities and is administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of
Colombo. It was established in Sri Lanka in 1991. The primary objective
of this private college is to provide a holistic, superior and quality
education in a predominantly disciplined and Catholic environment. While
providing the students with an excellent academic foundation from
playschool upto GCE Advanced Level, the College holds out its lofty
motto "The learned shine like the stars" (which is a quotation taken
from the Holy Bible) to inspire both students and teachers to reach for
the stars.
