Sangakkara signs new one-year deal with Surrey
Surrey have announced that Kumar Sangakkara will stay at the county next season
after agreeing a new one-year contract. The former Sri Lanka captain, 39, has
signed an extension at The Oval to keep him at the county until 2017. Sangakkara
retired from international cricket in 2015 having recorded more than 28,000 runs
across all formats, with a Test average of 57.40. He has been with County
Championship side Surrey for the past two seasons and will now play at least one
more year after penning the new deal.
