The United States Embassy in Sri Lanka announced the opening of the 2010 US Diversity Visa Lottery, which is also known as the Green Card lottery. The program allows randomly selected applicants to immigrate to the United States on an expedited basis, provided they meet all the criteria. Individuals wishing to participate in the visa lottery are strongly urged to apply early to avoid any possible delays. A total of 50,000 individuals will be selected for the lottery worldwide.
The entry submission period for DV-2010 is from 12:00PM EDT (GMT -4) on October 1, 2008 to 12:00PM EST (GMT -5) on November 30, 2008. The entry form will only be available for submission during this period and this period only.
