Sri Lanka's champion spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, will be in Kuala Lumpur during the KAF International Youth Cricket championship from Oct 24 to 26.
Muralitharan will be the special guest of the tournament, which is jointly organised by the Royal Selangor Club (RSC) and the Federal Territory Cricket Association (FTCA). Malaysian bowlers looking for invaluable tips will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the star as he is expected to spend some time with local cricketers during the tournament.
The organisers are also offering an opportunity for fans and players to take on the world's greatest bowler for three balls at the cost of RM500.
All proceeds from this event will go towards two charities - Muralitharan's Foundation of Goodness, which does extensive charity work in Sri Lanka, and another designated by KAF Investment Bank. Muralitharan will be at a fund-raising dinner at the RSC in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 25. He will share his experience and sign autographs for his fans.
