Health Ministers from 60 countries to meet in Sri Lanka [October 09 2008]

Health Ministers from 60 countries will be in Colombo this weekend for the Third Asia-Pacific Action Alliance on Human Resources for Health (AAAH) Conference.

The conference on "Globalisation and its implications for health care and human resources for health" organized jointly by the AAAH, the Sri Lanka Ministry of Healthcare and Nutrition and the Public Health Foundation of India will be held from 12-15 October in Colombo and Kandy.

During this four-day conference, the participants will discuss a variety of issues regarding the current health care situation in the world and the ways to improve the health, nutrition, and human resources in the Asia Pacific region. Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva will be the chief guest.
