The Supreme Court today turned down a petition filed by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) against the appointment of Vinayagamoorthi Muralitheran alias Karuna Amman to Parliament on the UPFA national list ticket.
Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva stated that since the JVP was not within Government ranks, it was a matter between two political parties and that the parties involved should sort their matters out.
