Ten Lankan fishermen arrested in India [October 20 2008]

Yet another group of Sri Lankan fishermen have been arrested by the Indian Coast Guards last evening. Sri Lanka's Deputy High Commissioner in India P.M Amza said ten fishermen with two boats have been arrested by the Indian Coast Guards for illegal fishing.

The ten Lanans are in the custody of Thuththukudi police in India. With this group, the total number of Sri Lankan fishermen under Indian custody goes up to 110.
