Four injured in Kathankudi grenade attack [September 26 2008]

Alleged LTTE operative lobs grenade on Mosque in Kaththankudi; 4 civilians injured 4 Muslim civilians were reported wounded when an alleged LTTE operative lobbed a grenade into the Al-Husiniya Mosque, at Kaaththaankudi - Batticaloa, Saturday around 7.45p.m.

The wounded were rushed to Kaththankudi hospital, according to Police sources. This week marks the 18th anniversary of the forcible eviction of the Muslims from Jaffna by the LTTE. It was a gross act of ethnic cleansing; about which most of the world that makes much noise about Human Rights violations in Sri Lanka maintains a conspicuous silence.
