Two Police officers on duty in Mundirippukulam area in Vavuniya died in an unfortunate incident today. A constable was killed due to a misfiring from his senior officer's gun at about 5:00 a.m. this morning.
Following the tragedy, the officer who was responsible for the accident had committed suicide with his own weapon. Vavuniya police are conducting further investigations.
