The National Sangha Confab (JSS) has scheduled a major Sangha Conference at the New Town Hall, Colombo on Thursday (30) to urge the Government to resist the pressures to stop the war against the LTTE.
The JSS urges "the government not to give in to the pressures by Tamil Nadu politicians and other foreign forces including NGOs to obstruct the victorious march of the armed forces and to destabilize Sri Lanka under the pretext of calling for ceasefires and protecting displaced Tamil people." JSS says it targets to build a strong national front and to bless the troops through this conference.
