A minor explosion has been reported inside a shop at Kiriwanthuduwa in Avissawella today. According to the police sources the shop caught fire following the explosion. Some houses and shops around the place also had been damaged in the incident. There were no injuries reported due to this explosion or fire, police said.
Awissawella police is conducting further investigations and police said the cause of the explosion is not known yet.
