The examination Department announced that G C E Ordinary Level examination will begin December 8 and will conclude on 20. The O/L examination will be held in 5300 examination Centers Island wide and 300 000 Candidates will be sitting for the examination under both new and old syllabuses.
The examination Commissioner Anura Edirisingha said that all the sections of G C E question papers have been revised along with the marking scheme. Teachers, administrators Principals along with another 75000 staff will be engaged in the 2008 G C E examinations said the examination department.
The Commissioner added that paper marking will begin on December 28 and will conclude on January 6, 2009.
