Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka is to leave for Japan tomorrow to participate in the Sri Lankan cultural exhibition to be held in Tokyo. Japan Emperor and the Queen have been invited and the Prime Minister will provide patronage for their visit, Prime Minister’s office said.
The Sri Lanka Cultural Heritage Exhibition was being held at the Tokyo National Museum from 17 to 30 November 2008. The exhibition was co-organised by the Sri Lanka government and the ‘Yomiuri Shimbun’ with the support of the Tokyo National Museum. Thousands of Japanese have visited the bi-monthly exhibition so far.
