Re. Admiral Samarasinghe – new Navy Commander

Navy Commander Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda will relinquish duties on July 15.

He will be replaced by former SLN Eastern Commander Rear Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe, the current Navy Chief of Staff. Meanwhile, the outgoing Navy Commander Admiral Karannagoda has been appointed as an advisor to the President on National Security.
