RUGBY: Army down Air Force 18-16

Army Sports Club has a good chance of climbing up to the second place in the Caltex premier league rugby championships after their exciting 18 points to 16 win over Air Force Sports Club played at Galle Face today.

The soldierscollected their points from one goal, one try and two penalties while Air Force had two tries and two penalties to their credit.

With second-placed CR & FC losing to Navy SC in today’s decisive game, ArmySC could climb a step forward to take the second spot behind the unbeatentable leaders Kandy Sports Club, which has a greater chance of retaining theleague crown.
