Air Force to introduce domestic flight

Sri Lanka Air Force in a bid to strengthen their passenger airline wing, Heli Tours would be benign down three 45-seater Antonov aircrafts next month. These would be used to strengthen the Colombo Palaley operations, which now operate on a three weekly frequencies.

In action Heli tours will operate a weekly fights to both Trincomalee and Sigiriya mainly to attract the local and international tourists. With effect from today (22) Air Force launched a Colombo Airport to Colombo City transfer service and opened a counter for this at the Colombo Airport.

“All this was possible due to permanent peace,” said Wing Commodore Dayal Wijeratne. Tickets for Heli tours could be purchased from the Air Force office opposite Trans Asia hotel and very soon they would be sold on the net and thought travel agents. Heli Tours also plans to launch passenger flights to Werawila, Koggagala and Ampara soon.
