Representative of the Government of Japan for Peace Building, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Sri Lanka, Yasushi Akashi will arrive in Colombo today for a six day visit. This is his 20th visit to the island.
Diplomatic sources say that the Japanese peace envoy will urge the government for early resettlement of IDPs and to initiate a political process for national reconciliation targeting sustainable peace.
