Sri lanka Navy has recovered the largest ever C4 explosive haul weighing 672 Kilograms from Mullaithivu, which was the LTTE’s main Sea Tiger base and where the final battle to end LTTE terrorism was fought.
Navy spokesperson Captain Athula Senarath said that the Naval Intelligence Personal during clearing operations recovered the stock, which was buried by the LTTE.
In addition to recovery of explosives, the team has recovered four high speed boat engines and a large stock of 12.7 and 14.5 mili metre anti air craft ammunition from the same area during the search operation.
