Sri Lanka ‘A’ beat Pakistan ‘A’ by 39 runs in their second unofficial Test concluded at Sooriyawewa International Stadium in Hambantota today. Set to make 179 to win, Pakistan ‘A’ were bowled out for 139 runs in 59.4 overs.

Resuming the third day at 93 for 5, Pakistan ‘A’ lost wickets at regular intervals as leg spinner Jeewan Mendis led the Lankan attack to finish with 5 for 32. Chief scores: Sri Lanka ‘A’ first innings - 97 runs all out (Nadeera Nawala 28, Jeewan Mendis 40, Junaid Khan 4 for 33, Hammad Azam 4 for 19) and Second innings – 175 all out (Dinesh Chandimal 46, Thilina Kandamby 32, Janaka Gunaratne 29, Junaid Khan 5 for 50, Zulfiqar Baber 4 for 38)

Pakistan ‘A’: first innings 94 all out (Mohammed Rameez 16, Sachithra Senanmayake 6 for 19, Suranga Lakmal had 4 for 33) and second innings 139 all out (Abid Ali 20, Hamad Azam 40, Jeewan Mendis 5 for 32, Suranga Lakmal 2 for 35, Sachithra Senanayake 2 for 52).
