Disabled war heros donate Rs. one million

Disabled war heroes of the Sri Lanka Army donated Rs. 1 million to build the gymnasium at ‘Abimansala’, the wellness resort for dependably disabled soldiers which is under construction in Anuradhapura. War heroes handed over their donation to the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at the inauguration ceremony of the Sri Lanka Army Para Games 2010 held yesterday (23) at the Colombo Army Headquarters. The donation was collected solely by the disabled War Heroes.  

Chairman of the Army Sports Committee for Disabled Major General J. C. Rambukpotha received the Army Chief to inaugurate the Army Para Games 2010.   

Over 1000 disable sportsmen will compete in seventy-six events and about 150 of them have been internationally recognized sports personalities in para games. The tournament will end today.
