IMBL meeting onboard Indian ship [September 28 2010]  

The International Maritime Boundary Line meeting of India and Sri Lanka will be held tomorrow on board an Indian Naval ship in the IMBL in the North of Sri Lanka with the participation of representatives from the Sri Lanka Navy, Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard.

Navy Spokesman Captain Athula Senerath told the Sunday Observer online that this routine meeting which is being held in every six months aboard an Indian or Sri Lanka Naval ship will focus on surveillance patrolling in the IMBL by both Navies and also the issues relating to fishing activities by the two countries.

He said Commander of the Northern Naval Area Rear Admiral Susith Weerasekera will head the Sri Lanka Navy delegation to the meeting.

Representatives from the Eastern Naval Area and the North Central Naval Area will also be included in the delegation.

Commodore Neil Rosayro, Director Naval Operations of the Navy headquarters will represent the Navy Headquarters at the meeting.
