The Northern Province Literary Festival was held in Kilinochchi Central College from October 2 - 5 after years of absence.
Twelve professionals from the Northern Province received the Governor’s award for their contributions in literary work at the festival. Ten film-makers and nine authors were awarded for their creations.
Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprises Development Douglas Devananda was the Guest of Honour on the final day and the Chief Guest of the event was Northern Province Governor G.A. Chandrasiri. (DY)
