Father attempts to kill daughter in custody

A father, who attempted to kill an under-aged daughter, was taken into custody, today, the Police said. 

  

The 13-year-old girl in Akkaraipattu was severely beaten by her father who later tried to hang her with a rope.  

  

His wife, the domestic aide, is now employed in a West Asian country. 

  

The neighbours, who prevented the man from hanging the girl,  alerted the Police.
