UNP Ratnapura District MP and popular film actor Ranjan Ramanayake was today released on bail by the Kandy Additional Magistrate.
Ramanayake was arrested last week over an allegation of fraud, following a complaint by a female teacher of a Kandy school. The teacher has stated that Ramanayake obtained Rs. One million after making a false promise to marry her. He was later remanded by Kandy Additional Magistrate Thanuja Jayathunga.
