A Police team to probe attack on Ruhuna Prof.

<p>A special police team has been sent to the University of Ruhuna to probe the allege attack to the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Susirith Mendis.


<p>Police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said the team including the Matara Police HQI had visited university and had commenced the inquiry.

<p>It was reported that a group of university students had attacked Prof Mendis and a senior student advisor, this morning. He got injuries on his forehead and treated at the Matara hospital.
