Following are the latest scores of the Inter-school Under-19 first X1 cricket matches played in Colombo and suburbs today.

Royal in command against St. Benedict’s

Royal College took a commanding first innings lead after having completely dominated the opening day of their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match against St.Benedict’s College which began at Reid Avenue today.

Half centuries from Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Heshan Kumarasiri and Milan Abeysekera helped Royal pile up a formidable 260 for 9 in their first innings and then skittle out the visitors for just 66 runs with Imran Khan (4 for 22) causing the damage.

Mahanama beat President’s College by nine wickets

Off spinner Chatura Wanniarachchi captured five wickets for 55 as Mahanama College pulled off a smashing nine wickets outright victory over President’s College in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Rajagiriya today.

Thomians tie on first innings with St.Sylvester’s

St. Sylvester’s College Kandy put up a tremendous performance to force a rare first innings tie over the more fancied S. Thomas’ College in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Mount Lavinia today.

Left arm seamer Dinal Dhambarage snapped up four wickets and Vidusha Jayasinghe scored a splendid half century to put St. Joseph’s College in a strong position on the opening day of their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match against Isipatana College which commenced at Darley Road today.
