Tiger cub died of pneumonia

<p>The postmortem of the Bengali Tiger cub of the Dehiwala zoo, has
revealed that the immediate cause of death as respiratory failure due
to acute pneumonia.

<p>According to the Director of National Zoological Garden Bashwara
Senanka Gunaratne, tests will be carried out to find out the reasons
for this acute pneumonia condition.

<p>The cub’s lungs and several other tissue samples have already been sent to the
Department of Veterinary Science of the Peradeniya University.
