Government protests over Tamilchelvan’s statue in France

The External Affairs Ministry has made the government’s objections for erecting the bust statue of former LTTE political wing leader S.P.Tamilchelvan in France.

The Ministry Spokesman Bandula Jayasekara said the government had made its strong protests regarding the issue through the Sri Lankan Embassy in France.

“ But it is on a private land”, he said adding however, the ministry would follow the issue.
