Police raids detect 3.62 kgs of herion and 7,448 kgs of canbis

<p>Inspector General of Police  Mahinda Balasuriya addresiing the media
said today that the during the period from October 13 to November 5,
Police had detected 3,195 cases of heroin and arrested 3, 135 suspects
of which  260 would be indicted in the high courts.

<p>Referring to Canabis sativa,  he said 7,290 cases were detected  and
arrested  7,305  suspects  during the same period.  He said 235 cases
would be indicted in courts.

 <p>The quantum of heroin detected was 3.62 kg and 7448 kg of canbis
sativa during the same period.
