Over 100 prison employees will transfer from Welikada

<p>Over 100 prison staff of Welikada will be transferred to Pallekelle, Weerawila and Taldena prisons over the Sunday attack on Policemen by the  prisoners in Welikada.


<p>The CID, which interrogated the prisons officers who did not report for duty on Sunday, alleges that  those who did not report for duty were carrying drugs into the prison and turned back as the Police were there.

  
<p>Over 50 Policemen were hospitalized as the prisoners attacked them while they were on a surprise raid to take drugs, mobile phones and other illegal items into custody in the prisons
