Interntaional patent for 'kiribath' [November 10 2010]

For the first time in the Sri Lankan history, the country will seek a global patent for a special traditional milk rice recipe.

This special recipe would be presented by internationally known Chef, Dr. Pabilis Silva on November 17, to coincide with President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s second swearing in ceremony at Independence square.

The organizing committee of this event also hopes to create a Guinness world record by cooking a huge 4,000 kilograms ‘hribath.’

Over 300 Chefs will use 1,200 Kg of rice, 300 kg of cashew nuts, 250 kg of plums, 150 kg of Gee 150 kg of Bees honey 24 kg of Salt and 1500 coconuts to make this world’s largest kiri bath. th entire world.
