Eight Professors of various academic fields are contesting for the post of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna.
The foremost among them is Prof. Ratnajeevan Hoole, who was elected a couple of years as Vice Chancellor of the Jaffna University and later he was later compelled to give up his position following the threats he received from the LTTE.
