Minister of Foreign Employment and Welfare Dilan Perera told the Parliament today that the government is willing to pay blood money to free Rizana.
He said under Shari law a pardon could only be done after paying the blood money.
Rizana was sentenced to death after being guilty on killing an infant.
Minister said she could get released if the blood money was paid to parents of the infant.
