UN agencies help over 100,000 flood victims

<P>The UN agencies are to provide relief assistance for over 100,000
people affected by floods and landslides.
<P>The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said over 164,183 people belong
to 42,618 families have been affected by the floods and 30,149 are in
the districts of Jaffna, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, Mannar, and
Vavuniya.
<P>The Ministry of Disaster Management has released Rs. 56.9 million to
local authorities for food assistance.
