E-school opens in Hambantota [December 17 2010]

For the first time an e-school was opened at Hambantota in a bid to provide Information Communication technology to rural schools.

Each e-school would be provided with a computer, projector and a mobile connection so that schools would have access to the Internet. The project plans to have 400 e schools covering the entire Sri Lanka.

The e-school was opened by Hambantota district MP Namal Rajapaksa and President Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency, Asanga Abeygoonawardane.
