The hardcore LTTE cadres taken into custody during the final days of the end battle and also from the IDP welfare centres were remanded on orders by the Colombo Magistrate today.
The police investigations revealed the 160 ex-LTTE cadres arrested are hardcore LTTE cadres wanted for various crimes.
They were detained in the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID), which carried further investigations on orders of the Defence Secretary.
