Singer Gratien Ananda passed away at the Colombo National Hospital, early this morning.
Ananda, a song writer and a veteran musician, was 52.
During his career, he lent his voice to more than 500 Sinhala films and has directed music for 15 films.
In 1994, Gratien won the Sarasaviya Award for Best Male Vocalist in the film "Raja Daruwo".
