Roshani Priddis, a Sri Lankan in Australia blitzed the judges and the Australian Idol audience when she performed on the show on Sunday night to qualify for the finals.
Adopting an edgier look which included a motorbike-style jacket and a spikey hairdo, the 22-year-old performed the Joss Stone hit Tell Me Bout It. Judge Marcia Hines praised the choice and said the performance was excellent. She was described as the “jewel in the 2008 Idol crown” by one of the judges.
