New Korean Ambassador meets Army Commander [September 16 2008]

The newly-appointed South Korean Ambassador for Sri Lanka Choi Ki Vul paid a courtesy call on Sri Lanka Army Chief Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka in Colombo.

The SLA Commander briefed the Korean Ambassador about the ongoing operations in the North to liberate thousands of innocent civilians held by the LTTE. The Army Commander also presented a brief account on measures to be taken to establish peace in the Wanni areas once the security forces take control of the rebel-held areas.
